Several former stars of Vanderpump Rules, including Laura-Leigh, Faith Stowers, and Vail Bloom, have left the show over the years. The reality series follows the staff at Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant SUR and has undergone cast changes throughout its run. The show returned for season 9 in September 2021 after taking a break in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Former cast members of Vanderpump Rules include Laura-Leigh, Faith Stowers, Vail Bloom, Stassi Schroeder, Jax Taylor, Kristen Doute, Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix, James Kennedy, Lala Kent, and Brittany Cartwright.
Vanderpump Rules has undergone several cast changes since its premiere in 2013, with many SURvers coming and going over the years. Some of the original stars who have since stepped away from the show include Laura-Leigh, Faith Stowers, and Vail Bloom.
As the cameras started following the staff at Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant SUR in 2012, Lisa, Stassi Schroeder, Jax Taylor, Kristen Doute, Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, and Scheana Shay starred in the show’s first season. But as the show progressed, several faces came and went, including Tom Schwartz, Tina McDowelle, Peter Madrigal, Frank Herlihy, Mike Shay, Kristina Kelly, Jen Bush, and Jeremy Davidson.
In season 8, the show introduced several new cast members, including Dayna Kathan, Max Boyens, Brett Caprioni, Danica Dow, and Charli Burnett. The show also featured Stassi’s then-fiancé, Beau Clark, and James’ then-girlfriend, Raquel Leviss, more heavily. However, the show underwent a major shakeup in 2020, with several cast members not returning for season 9 due to controversies both on and off-screen.
Despite these changes, Vanderpump Rules has continued to thrive as a popular reality TV series. As Jax recently told Us Weekly exclusively, “You can all tell that we’re very much evolving, so it’s almost like grown-up fighting now, as opposed to high school fighting.” While the cast may continue to change, the drama and excitement of the show are sure to keep fans tuning in year after year.
