Reality TV star Teddi Mellencamp has speculated that her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Lisa Vanderpump, could be involved in the ongoing Vanderpump Rules scandal. During an episode of the “On Display” podcast, Mellencamp suggested that Vanderpump might have paid Raquel Leviss to have an affair with Tom Sandoval, her ex-boyfriend, leading to his split with Ariana Madix. The podcast was recorded prior to Vanderpump’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Although Mellencamp and Vanderpump were friends during their time together on the show, their relationship soured during the ninth season after Dorit Kemsley adopted a puppy from Vanderpump Dogs that ended up in a kill shelter. Vanderpump left the series in 2019, while Mellencamp departed in 2020. During the podcast, Mellencamp impersonated Vanderpump and anticipated what she might say in Sandoval’s defense.
When co-host Tamra Judge suggested that Vanderpump only wanted the best for her cast, Mellencamp countered that she “wants the best for herself” and said that anyone else in her position would want the same. Vanderpump, however, focused on Ariana Madix’s well-being and shared that she was “devastated” by the split with Sandoval.
During the same episode, Vanderpump called Leviss a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” and criticized her behavior with Schwartz and Madrigal, two cast members of Vanderpump Rules.
