Stassi Schroeder shared her thoughts on gender reveal parties and screen time for kids, while also speaking out against mom-shaming and expressing her love for wearing heels during pregnancy.
Former Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder shared her thoughts on parenting trends during an exclusive interview. The soon-to-be mother of two revealed her love for gender reveal parties, stating that she enjoys seeing the excitement and emotion of the event. She even joked that she loves cake, making the event a win-win for her.
However, Schroeder isn’t keen on screen time for kids. She and her husband, Beau Clark, tried it out with their two-year-old daughter, Hartford, with little success. According to Schroeder, “We were letting Hartford have screen time every now and then, and it was turning her into a monster. Like, I don’t know if it was just too much stimulation. She was learning how to go on YouTube in a matter of days. So, we had to cold turkey it.” Unless they’re completely desperate, they avoid screen time altogether.
Schroeder also addressed the issue of mom-shaming, describing it as “bad” and “scary.” The reality star and author noted that mom-shaming occurs not only on Instagram and TikTok but also on message boards where expectant and experienced mothers communicate. Schroeder called out mom-shamers, stating that they’re “the meanest trolls out there.”
In the interview, Schroeder also touched on her love for wearing heels during pregnancy. She revealed that tall shoes are “the only thing” that make her feel like herself while pregnant. The host of the “Straight Up With Stassi” podcast admitted to planning her sparkly heels before anything else for her upcoming Mommy Dearest Tour.
Schroeder’s Mommy Dearest Tour will begin in Minneapolis on April 13th. The reality star is looking forward to putting together her outfits for the tour, describing it as her “one shot to live the life of a Broadway star.” Tickets for the tour are available on her website.
