Scheana Shay and Brock Davies are upset with Nick Viall for supporting negative comments about their marriage on his podcast and for joking about their relationship and age gap.
Scheana Shay and Brock Davies are not happy with Nick Viall publicly supporting negative comments about their marriage. During a recent episode of her podcast, Scheana explained how she felt like the subject of Viall’s podcast recently, and went on to express that she thought she and Viall were “friends” and that they had done some social media work together, but felt betrayed by the negative comments. Brock Davies also weighed in, noting Viall’s reality TV past. Nick Viall has appeared on many dating shows, made his Bachelor debut in 2014 during season 10 of The Bachelorette, and has been linked to several women over the years before starting a relationship with his current fiancée, Natalie Joy, in 2021.
Scheana Shay has had her share of heartache, first with her divorce from Mike Shay on the Bravo show in 2016, and then with an ended relationship with Robert Valletta. She found happiness with Brock Davies after re-connecting with him, and he has been a great support for her and her family. She also threw a dig at Viall, who has also appeared on dating shows, and has since gotten engaged to his 24-year-old fiancée. Natalie and Viall have been open about their 18-year age gap. Viall said on a podcast, “The age at the time, I was very self-conscious about. I was very guarded.” Natalie recalled realizing that Viall was The One after their first meeting, adding, “I knew after that weekend, I was like, ‘I’m going to spend the rest of my life with this man.’”
Scheana wondered what the term “payroll husband” even meant, and if it was misogynistic to be called such. Scheana and Brock are still upset Nick didn’t defend them. Brock Davies noted on the “Scheananigans” podcast, “Nick, I want to stay positive. But bro, if your wife was the lead role in your family and you have a kid, what would you do? There’s no need to be calling [me that]. Plus I would like to point out that the guy is 42 and he went on a dating show, another dating show and then another dating show.” The former rugby player also noted, “Then he was 38 when he met his 20-year-old [fiancée]. I am not going to read into that. You do whatever you want buddy.”
