Maddi Reese and Trevor Stokes ended their relationship not because of cheating rumors, which Maddi does not believe, but due to personal struggles and differences in their lifestyles. Despite the breakup and the drama surrounding allegations of Trevor’s infidelity, Maddi is moving on, focusing on healing, and is open to dating again, though she admits some challenges in completely moving past her relationship with Trevor.
Maddi Reese and Trevor Stokes broke up after season 2 of “Southern Hospitality” due to personal struggles and lifestyle differences, not because of the rumored affair with Sammie, which Maddi ultimately does not believe happened.
Maddi Reese and Trevor Stokes decided to call it quits after the cameras stopped rolling on season 2 of *Southern Hospitality*. Interestingly, the whispers of Trevor’s infidelity weren’t the catalyst for their breakup. Spoiler alert, folks: the season 2 finale of *Southern Hospitality* has some tea that’s piping hot.
Maddi, aged 26, spilled the beans to *Us Weekly* last Thursday. Despite their split being public knowledge and her dipping her toes back into the dating pool, Trevor’s adamant denials about the affair have her puzzled. “I believe it didn’t happen,” she stated, somewhat conflicted. She confessed, “I don’t really trust him that much, but on this, I do. Why lie now?” It’s a mystery she’s come to terms with, accepting she might never unravel it.
Maddi and Trevor’s rollercoaster relationship was a key storyline going into the second season. They had rekindled their romance after a previous infidelity on Trevor’s part. But then, Bradley Carter dropped a bombshell in the premiere episode of December 2023. He claimed Trevor had kissed a girl named Sammie while they were living together. Maddi, however, wasn’t buying what Bradley was selling.
During the season finale, Maddi confronted Sammie, accusing her of lying to stir drama. “You’re a f–king liar,” she lashed out at Sammie at Will Kulp’s farewell party. “Have a great day. Bye, bitch!” she added, not holding back her feelings.
Maddi took drastic measures by locking Sammie out of the house. Yet, she later admitted to overhearing a revealing phone call between Trevor and Sammie. This confession left her friends in shock; they had thought Maddi only caught a snippet of their conversation.
“I felt like it wasn’t my rumor to spread. It wasn’t my fight,” Maddi explained her silence on the recording. For her, hearing Sammie’s side was enough to close that chapter.
Maddi elaborated that the breakup wasn’t solely due to the cheating rumors. The stress and mental turmoil she endured played significant roles, with Trevor’s involvement in the Sammie drama not helping his case. “I understand his fingerprints are all over that. But ultimately, I wanted the truth,” she shared, revealing she was on the call when Trevor confronted Sammie.
The split in July 2023, according to Maddi, was a mutual decision influenced by their differing lifestyles. “We have different lifestyles. I work in nightlife. He’s more a nine to fiver,” she noted, adding that she’s taking her time moving out of their shared home and is open to dating again, albeit cautiously.
Maddi insists the chapter with Trevor is firmly closed, despite the difficulty in staying away from him. “You need to have self-control to say, ‘Nope, chapter’s closed,'” she mused. As for now, she’s certain it’s over, but who knows what the future holds?
The door is similarly shut on her relationship with Sammie after their explosive confrontation during the season finale. “She’s totally gone,” Maddi confirmed, revealing they haven’t spoken since the Fourth of July party.
Currently, Maddi feels she’s in a healing phase, remaining open-minded about her future. She’s focused on mending broken relationships and getting her life back on track.
