Chelsea Blackwell, the star from *Love Is Blind*, is all over the news. She’s got people talking after she compared herself to Megan Fox. Yeah, you heard that right. Megan Fox! This all went down on the season 6 premiere of the Netflix show. Chelsea, a 31-year-old flight attendant and event planner, didn’t just stop there. She hit Instagram on February 18 with a video. Dancing to Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” she captioned it, “Go on a show for love > get your butt dragged through the trenches.”
Her friend Presley Carter jumped in to defend her. On Instagram Story, Presley shared a note. It was all about supporting Chelsea through this whirlwind. “Thank you all who are from our hometown and known Chels for all of your love and support for her through this! It’s been so exciting to watch her and see everything!” Presley wrote. But, oh, the internet can be a mean place. People take reality TV way too seriously, according to Presley. “Like it’s a show y’all, we need to cool it 😉”
Meanwhile, there’s a link floating around about *Love Is Blind* couples. You know, checking in on who’s still together and who’s not. Since the show kicked off in 2020, fans have been hooked on its unique dating concept. Remember Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton? They tied the knot on day 40. Yet, Lauren later spilled the beans on how tricky finding “The One” can be.
Presley had more to say, though. “These are real people with feelings, and emotions,” she added. It’s tough seeing friends and family read harsh comments online. “We’re ALL imperfect, all trying our best. Please respect the cast through this.”
In the first episode, Chelsea tells *Love Is Blind* star Jimmy Presnell she’s often told she looks like Fox. “It’s just because I have dark hair and blue eyes,” she explains. “But I don’t see it, so don’t get excited.” Jimmy, 28, seems thrilled, jokingly asking, “Can we get married?”
There’s more drama to catch up on with *Love Is Blind*. The show’s not short on love triangles and messy breakups. Season 2 was a rollercoaster with Shayne Jansen, Natalie Lee, and Shaina Hurley, among others, stirring the pot.
Fans, however, weren’t buying Chelsea’s Megan Fox comparison. They took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their opinions. “Just recalled Chelsea said she looked like Megan Fox and I bet that was Jimmy’s deciding factor,” one user wrote. “I mean Chelsea isn’t bad looking but Megan Fox #LoveIsBlind.” Another added, “Every time they come on the screen I cackle bc she really told that man that. She didnt have to say that.”
Trevor Sova, another *Love Is Blind* contestant, shared his two cents with *Us Weekly*. Chelsea rejecting him for Jimmy was a shocker. “I honestly forgot that Chelsea was talking to other guys in the pods,” he admitted. “I don’t know, you’re so honed in on the person that you want to marry that you forget it’s almost, like, a competition.”
And oh, there’s a list of top reality stars of 2023 you might want to check out. If you hadn’t heard of Ariana Madix before, you sure will now. After a scandal involving her boyfriend and best friend, she’s been the talk of the town.
Trevor was blindsided when Chelsea chose Jimmy. “And so, I was fairly confident going in and, yeah, I was definitely shocked when I went in and the first words out of Chelsea’s mouth I could tell that, ‘Oh, Jimmy already proposed to her, this is how it’s going to go.’ I was not ready for that at all.”
Chelsea had connections with both Trevor and Jimmy during the show. Jimmy, torn between Chelsea and Jessica Vestal, eventually chose Chelsea. Trevor later speculated timing played a crucial role in Chelsea’s decision.
Jimmy and Chelsea hit a rough patch after he considered leaving the experiment early. Chelsea felt he had regrets about their engagement. Jimmy also confessed in a confessional that Chelsea didn’t quite look like the *Transformers* actress but found her very attractive nonetheless. Their relationship faced more tests during the cast’s group trip.
The first six episodes of *Love Is Blind* season 6 are up on Netflix. New episodes are dropping weekly. So, grab some popcorn and get ready for more drama.
