**Spoiler Alert!** This post dives into the juicy details from the first few episodes of *Love Is Blind* season 6. So, buckle up!
Amber Desiree “AD” Smith found herself in a bit of a pickle. A love square, to be exact, on season 6 of *Love Is Blind*. And boy, does she have some tea to spill about her time in those pods.
AD, a 33-year-old, felt a spark with not one, but two guys. We’re talking about Clay Gravesande and Matthew Duliba. She ended up getting engaged to Clay, who’s 31, without ever laying eyes on him. Initially, though, she was pretty skeptical about her pod fiancé.
“Oh my gosh, Clay is a walking red flag,” she spilled to *Us Weekly* right before the season kicked off on February 14. It was like, red flag after red flag from the get-go.
Now, let’s pause for a second. The whole point of *Love Is Blind* is to see if folks can find their perfect match without the whole looks thing getting in the way. But, drama? It’s practically guaranteed. Season 2 was a love triangle galore, just to give you a taste.
Back to Clay. He opened up to AD in the pods, explaining why he oozed confidence. “You know, my dad is one of the smoothest guys I know. I’ve always felt like I should emulate him,” he shared during one of their dates. He admitted his ego was both a blessing and a curse.
Clay confessed that his charm had always been his “security blanket.” Despite being a hit with the ladies, he never felt chosen by the one he truly wanted. “Maybe I don’t provide that sense of security emotionally,” he pondered.
He also revealed he’s leaned heavily on physical attraction in past relationships. Even asking AD about her looks. “When he wanted to know about the physical and what I looked like, I think that was very telling and a huge red flag,” AD told *Us*.
AD and Clay did manage to work through their issues. And a love triangle with Matthew, who’s 37. AD nearly thought Matthew was The One until she discovered he was making similar promises to another contestant, Amber Grant.
“Matthew? Oh my f—king God,” Clay vented to AD in episode 2. “You’re gonna regret that s—t, I’m telling you. I don’t understand, am I not saying the right things to you? We not having the right conversations? I really can’t even fathom.”
AD confronted Matthew about his wandering eye, claiming he was after Amber, who’s 31. Matthew eventually left the show to “go get Amber,” while AD stayed focused on her connection with Clay.
“Matthew and I had a few conversations post-pods, and he apologized,” AD revealed to *Us*. “He said his piece, I said mine, and we moved on.”
The first six episodes of *Love Is Blind* season 6 are up for grabs on Netflix. New episodes are dropping weekly, so stay tuned.
