He was the original voice for Tony the Tiger and had other notable roles as Gumby for Art Clokey, Archie Andrews for Filmation’s Archie series and Buzz Buzzard in Woody Woodpecker cartoons.
Dallas McKennon was born in Oregon. He created and hosted a kids TV wraparound show called Space Funnies/Capt. Jet during the early 1950s. For the Crash Bandicoot video game character of Ripper Roo, only his laugh was used. He provided his voice for Disney theme park attractions like It’s a Small World, The Haunted Mansion and The Hall of Presidents.
