Captain Sandy Yawn from “Below Deck Mediterranean” confronted her interior team about repeatedly misplacing her laundry, emphasizing the need for a better system to manage crew clothing.
Oh boy, did you hear about the latest from “Below Deck Mediterranean”? Captain Sandy Yawn was on a mission. Yep, during a crew lunch, she needed answers about her missing clothes. Talk about awkward timing, right?
So, it was this Monday episode, and Sandy, who’s 59 by the way, realized her shirt was MIA. Just before their next charter was about to kick off. Imagine the stress!
“I have a question,” she said, diving straight into the issue with third stew Bri Muller. “My laundry has a label on it. These don’t.” She expected her stuff back the same day. Simple, right?
Bri was mortified. Seriously, she admitted she was “so embarrassed” by the mix-up. And guess what? It wasn’t the first time laundry got jumbled up. But Sandy wasn’t about to fire anyone over a lost shirt. She’s fair like that. Still, she insisted Bri needed to figure out a system, especially since they were already four charters in.
Sandy was frustrated, to say the least. “I shouldn’t be looking for my shirt. I am dealing with the wind, the fires, and the guests. F—k me. This can’t happen,” she vented. So, she decided to confront the situation head-on in the crew lounge. Bri was just there, munching on her lunch with the others, when Sandy dropped the bomb.
“Why is it so hard to get my clothes back? Where is my captain’s shirt?” Sandy demanded, in front of everyone. “This is the last time. Now I am going to get pissed. I want my clothes back. Find my shirt. This is like the fifth time. Someone’s cabin has my shirt in it.”
Meanwhile, in other news, “Below Deck” fans have seen their fair share of captains over the years. From the stern but fair Captain Lee to our very own Captain Sandy. It’s a wild ride on those high seas, full of drama and unexpected twists.
Chief stew Aesha Scott felt the heat and personally apologized to Sandy. Sandy, though, hoped her outburst would ensure Bri paid more attention in the future. Bri, in her confessional, hinted she wasn’t the only one to blame. Ellie Dubaich, the second stew, could’ve been the culprit too.
Bri was determined to make amends. “From now on, I am going to log every single bit of laundry that comes through that room. Receipts, bitch,” she declared. Despite the hiccup, Sandy has always been about giving her crew a chance to learn and grow. She believes in opportunities for change.
“Every season comes with its surprises,” Sandy reflected. Working and living together isn’t a walk in the park. She gives credit to her crew for their resilience and staying power.
