Their joint Instagram post read: “With mutual love and respect, Kat and I have recently decided to part ways.” The couple cited different career goals as the reason for their breakup. Despite the split, they expressed gratitude for the love and support they received from their family, friends, and Bachelor Nation. They also asked for privacy during this difficult time.
During the Bachelor in Paradise season 9 finale, John Henry proposed to Kat, despite concerns that they were moving too quickly. Kat, who had appeared on season 27 of The Bachelor, expressed that she had never felt so comfortable with someone so quickly. John Henry had appeared on season 20 of The Bachelorette, and was seeing someone else when he decided to pursue a relationship with Kat.
